International Conference on Reconfigurable Mechanisms and Robots (6/18/2009)
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) join forces to hold the International Conference on Reconfigurable Mechanisms and Robots (ReMAR) 2009. The conference will be held in London at King's College of London, from June 22 to June 24, 2009 that sees the celebration of the IEEE 125th Anniversary Year.
The conference's theme is reconfigurable manufacturing and robotics. It will provide an international forum to and showcase the latest technologies of and most innovative research ideas on bio-design of reconfigurable mechanisms, reconfigurable manufacturing, and bio-metamorphic robotics and reconfigurable robots that aim to fulfil the industrial needs of adaptability and reconfigurablity in the manufacturing and robotics sector. In order to honor the most innovative research ideas on the conferences theme in this remarkable event that sees the celebration of the IEEE 125th Anniversary Year, three international awards will be presented which are: Best Paper on Reconfigurable Robots Award; Best Paper on Reconfigurable Mechanisms Award; and Best Paper on Industrial Application Award.
More than 150 delegates from 22 countries already registered to come to London for this conference. High profile international speakers are going to keynote in this conference from Japan on bio-metamorphic robotics and reconfigurable robots, from the USA on reconfigurable manufacturing, and from Europe on bio-design of reconfigurable structures.
